MathML Test Page

About MathML

Read carfully, if you are not using the Internet Explorer.

MathML (Mathematical Markup Language) is a XML-based markup language for mathematical formulae that depends on the recommendations of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). MathML includes technical specifications for the rendering of mathematical symbols and equations in web pages.

MathML Test

RG = - d[A] dt = k [A] [A] 0 [A] d[A] [A] =k 0 t dt ln [A] [A] 0 =k t   The reaction rate equations describing a first order reaction should be displayed on the left side. If this is the case you can go on to the Cortona VRML-Player test page.

If the equations are not displayed on your system, some fonts may be missing. The following instructions will advise you how to solve the problems.

Note for Firefox 3 users

If the formulas are dislplayed with wrong symbols, please uninstall the font: cmsy10.ttf.

  • Windows: Delete the file cmsy10.ttf in folder "/Windows/Fonts"
  • Linux: Delete the file cmsy10.ttf in folder "~/.fonts"
  • Mac OS X: Delete the file cmsy10.ttf in folder "~/Library/Fonts"

Further information is available under Fonts for MathML-enabled Mozilla.
